Mission Control, Magic Moments & strong partnerships – Our journey to Atlassian Team '25

What happens when the global Atlassian ecosystem comes together once a year? That's right: it gets loud, colorful, inspiring – and, above all, personal. Team '25 in Anaheim is more than just an event for catworkx. It was a stage for encounters, a place for new inspiration and another milestone for/in our partnership with Atlassian. Our team was right in the middle of it – and brought back lots of impressions, highlights and emotions.

Arrive, set up, receive an award

Even before the actual conference began, the catworkx team was hard at work: While some colleagues deepened their knowledge in the “Partner Accelerate” format, others set up our booth – including a Polaroid photo station and demo area.

The evening brought an emotional highlight: catworkx was presented with the award “Atlassian Partner of the Year: High Velocity Service Management Solutions 2024–2025” – a moment of pride and a strong start to an intense week.

Stand Mission Control opens – with basketball and encounters

The next morning started off sportily: the team got moving before sunrise with a basketball game against our colleagues from Appfire (sponsored by TIMETOACT). Relaxed, fun, bonding—and just the right warm-up.

Back at the convention center, it was time to get down to business: we networked, laughed, and discussed over lunch with Appfire.

In the afternoon, our “Mission Control” booth officially opened its doors. Space engineers (aka our team) welcomed visitors with demos, conversations, Polaroid photos, and a raffle. The response was huge – our booth quickly became a lively hub for community and exchange.

In the evening, more awards were presented: our colleagues were honored by METAinf as “Partner Engineer of the Year” and by Gliffy as “Rising Star Partner.” An evening cruise with Appfire – complete with dolphin sightings under the starry sky – brought the day to an almost magical close.

Big ideas, big stage: Atlassian's vision for the future

The following day, Atlassian's vision took center stage. In the big Founders Keynote, Mike Cannon-Brookes, Anu Bharadwaj, and others presented the next stage in Atlassian's evolution: moving away from individual tools to a connected, AI-powered System of Work.

Here's a summary of the most important announcements:

  • Teamwork Graph: Connects billions of work items into an intelligent network.
  • Rovo: AI assistant for semantic search, chat, and automation – now in Jira & Confluence.
  • New Collections: “Teamwork Collection” for daily collaboration, “Strategy Collection” for leadership.

It wasn't just about new features, but about a shift in thinking: collaboration should become smarter, more connected, and smoother – with Atlassian as the platform for the future. We will highlight how we at catworkx evaluate these developments and integrate them into our solutions in separate blog posts.

Here you can find an overview of Atlassian updates.

Learn, share, deepen – at the booth and beyond

While the keynote speeches continued to resonate, the action moved on to the booth – this time with a focus on depth and exchange. Metricus spoke about process optimization, Elementspresented innovations for Jira & Confluence, and Yasoon invited attendees to a brainstorming session on incident management.

The afternoon brought another highlight: our big NotePin raffle. An excited crowd gathered, the digital wheel of fortune spun, and there was cheering and clapping – an energetic moment full of joy.

In the evening, things quieted down a bit. It was time to take a deep breath, reflect, and mentally prepare for the last day of the conference.

Finish with energy – and a beach bash to round things off

The final day also had many valuable encounters in store. Deep dive sessions with Tempo took place at the booth, focusing on company-wide integrations and planning processes.

Numerous visitors stopped by one last time—to clarify open questions, say thank you, or simply to secure a final Polaroid. With a touch of sadness but a lot of satisfaction, the Mission Control equipment was finally packed up again.

In the evening, it was time to say aloha to the California Beach Bash. Even though the beach was missing, the relaxed atmosphere, summer sounds, and good vibes more than made up for it. There was dancing, laughter, celebration, and farewells.

And so ended a week full of innovation, connection, and shared mission—not just as participants, but as active members of a community that is helping to shape the future of collaboration. We are already looking forward to the next Team '25 Europe in Barcelona.

We would like to express our gratitude to Atlassian, our partners, and our customers—and, of course, to our amazing team who made this journey what it was: unforgettable. 🎊
